Marvel has released a new poster for their upcoming Disney+ series,Loki. The series featuresTom Hiddlestonas the titular Norse god of mischief in a timeline created by the events ofAvengers: Endgame. Hiddleston is joined byOwen Wilson,Sophia Di Martino,Gugu Mbatha-Raw, andSasha Lane.Rick and MortyproducerMichael Waldronserves as the head writer and as a co-executive producer alongsideKate Herron(Sex Education), who also co-executive produces and directs all six episodes. Eagle-eyed Marvel fans will recognize Loki’s outfit in the poster from thetrailer, which he sports during his conversation with Owen Wilson’s character....

The WGN America series (running 13 episodes in its first season) takes place in 1943 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and focuses on the Manhattan Project, or the race to develop a nuclear warhead. The tension therefore is derived not just derived from us knowing what happens as viewers, but in the secrecy around the project, the fear of spies, and how the characters are largely kept in the dark (mirroring real life)....

As you may have heard, Disney is in the process of buying up 21st Century Fox for the low, low valuation of$54.2 billion. While the fallout of that deal is a long way away from being completely clear, it’s possible we’ll start seeing some movement of creative personnel away from Fox and onto other pursuits in the meantime. If nothing else, the uncertainty around this deal suggests that it’d be in the best interests of Fox folks, and specifically those who have their own deals with the studio, to keep an eye open for other opportunities....
