The 2018 Saturn Awards were held last night, honoring the best in science-fiction, fantasy, and horror film and television, and Marvel Studios’Black Panthercame away the big winner. The film won five Saturn awards in total, including Best Comic-to-Film Motion Picture, Best Director forRyan Coogler, and Best Production Design forHannah Beachler. The other top awards went toBlade Runner 2049(Best Sci-Fi Film),The Shape of Water(Best Fantasy Film),Get Out(Best Horror Film),The Greatest Showman(Best Action/Adventure Film), andThree Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri(Best Thriller Film, for some insane reason).

Star Wars: The Last Jedididn’t go home empty handed, however, as the terrificThe Force Awakenssequel won Best Screenplay forRian Johnsonand Best Actor forMark Hamill.
