On the heels offive cancellationsof beloved shows (unless an airdate has been previously announced),fans of the network and their personalities are feeling uncertain about whether their shows are next on the chopping block.

Christina Haack May Have Shows on the Chopping Block

The past 365+ days have been a wild journey for the HGTV star. Between a high-profiledivorce fromJosh Hall, her third overall, and the blossoming of a new relationship withChristopher Larocca, much of Haack’s personal life has been put on full display. And yet, she was still able to hold strong with three shows on HGTV:Christina on the Coast,Christina in the Country, andThe Flip Off. Although there have been somepersonnel changesthat have affected her design world, both on and off-camera,she has remained consistent with her aesthetic and presentation.

WithChristina on the Coastbeing her main solo project,it would make sense for the Southern California-based series to return, as that is her home base. Earlier this year, the interior designer toldJeff Lewisthat her country spin-off would not return for Season 3. Speaking onThe Jeff Lewis Show, Haack revealed,“That’s over. That was two seasons.”The end of this series is likely tied to the sale of her Tennessee home amid her divorce. That then leavesThe Flip Off.

The Flip Offis set up for exes Haack andTarek El Moussato battle it out for bragging rights. The first season had a wrench tossed in when Haack lost her partner, and thus had to compete as a solo entity. Though she has teasedfuture collaborations with Lewis, it’s unclear whether he would be her partner should the series move ahead with a second season. The first season ofThe Flip Offbegan production at the start of 2024,so unless a new season is in the works, perhaps that’s the series she’s manifesting to film.

HGTV fans have spoken, and they’re not happy!

‘The Flip Off’ Was Worth the Hype

Perhaps the most buzzed-about HGTV show of the year wasThe Flip Off. With so much off-camera drama during filming, when the final product was released, it illuminated the relationships and conflicts among the series’ stars. Exploring aspects of their personal lives that other HGTV shows tend to avoid,The Flip Offwas one of the most intriguing projects to emerge from the networkin quite some time. With a raw vibe seeping into the playful competition,The Flip Offwas a bit of an enigma. But can that essence be replicated for a second season?

In Season 1,The Flip Offhighlighted the various relationships Haack had, including all three of her marriages, while informing viewers about the intricacies on her own terms. The Flip Offgave fans the chance to seeHaack and El Moussahave a heart-to-heart that might not have happened if cameras were not rolling. The Flip Offrevealed the contentious relationship that El Moussa had withHaack’s second husband,Ant Anstead, while also celebrating the close bond that Haack andHeather El Moussaformed over the years. These storylines have been completed.IfThe Flip Offreturns, will a show simply focusing on healthy competition be sufficient? Will fans be hungry for answers about the divorce settlement and the status of Haack’s relationship with Larocca? As much as we would hate to see it,The Flip Offmay actually be on the chopping block.
