Pop iconCharli XCXis revisiting theFinal Destinationfranchiseahead of seeing the latest installment,Final Destination Bloodlines, which landed in theaters two weeks ago. The musician only had the best words for the films, as seen onTikTok, and she didn’t hesitate to pitch her own idea for a potential sequel starring “It Girls.”Final Destinationbegan with the 2000 pic and is currently in its sixth chapter, which isnot the last for the franchise, as previously hinted by producerCraig Perry. So fingers crossed, Charli’s version could actually come to life.
In the video, theBratcreator initially pointed out why she loves theFinal Destinationmovies, saying they “really just are about hot people getting killed” and with “no moral backbone to the story.” She then detailed her idea, naming some stars she would want featured in her version, including a scream icon:

“I was thinking, well, shouldn’t there be a sort of It Girl version of this franchise. You know, like, a Final Destination with It Girls. Kind of like,Rachel Sennott,Alex Consani,Gabbriette,Romy Mars, Me,Quenlin Blackwell,Devon Lee Carlson… maybe there’s like a Scream Queen in there likeJenna (Ortega). Maybe there’s an OG Scream Queen likeSissy Spacek. And then it’s also directed by like a horror auteur.”
Charli XCX’s ‘Final Destination’ Won’t Change the Franchise’s Formula
Created byJeffrey Reddick, theFinal Destinationfranchise comprises six films, ten novels, and two comic books. The most recent film in the series,Final Destination Bloodlines, is a standalone sequel to the fifth installment and is so farthe best-reviewed and highest-grossing in the franchise. It was directed byZach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, from a screenplay byGuy BusickandLori Evans Taylor. Starring in the 2025 pic areKaitlyn Santa Juana,Teo Briones,Richard Harmon,Owen Patrick Joyner,Anna Lore,Brec Bassinger, andTony Todd.
Speaking further about herFinal Destinationpitch, Charli wants it to be faithful to theother installments in the franchise, without changing what makes them unique. She added:

“The films wouldn’t have to change their formula.I think the whole point is that they play into the lore. They kind of make fun of their own lore, and I don’t think this one would have to be any different, like I think that’s the point. It’s really not trying to do anything other than have hot people die in the most brutal ways and play with some unbelievable dialogue.”
