It had great songs, iconic entrances, and more. But the franchise hasn’t returned sinceCamp Rock 2: The Final Jamin 2010 andfans have been asking for a third movie ever since. But with how big the cast has gotten, is it even possible?
One of the film’s stars was talking to PEOPLE about their new role in the upcoming season ofPhineas and Ferband was asked abouta third installment.Alyson Stoner, who took part in many of our childhood favorites, likeCheaper by the Dozen, was talking with the outlet when they revealed thatthey hadn’t heard any concrete newson whether aCamp Rock 3was in the works yet.
“I haven’t heard aboutCamp Rock 3, but you want to know how I heard aboutPhineas and Ferb’s new season? From the internet,” Stoner revealed to PEOPLE. They were referring to the internet confirming that the show was returning for another season. They went on to say that it “wouldn’t be the first time” that the internet broke the news of a project returning before someone within the production. “I truly cannot confirm or deny anything. They haven’t given me a ring.”
What Would a ‘Camp Rock 3’Look Like?
While Stoner was talking with PEOPLE,they started to wonder about the storyline thatCamp Rock 3could potentially haveif the series was to return. “I wonder where that plot line would go,” Stoner told the outlet. “It would thicken. It would have to thicken quite a bit to get all of us back.“TheCamp Rockcrew is, for the most part, all now in their 30s. So, if they were to return for a sequel, it would have to be very different from the original. Does this mean that it could be a camp reunion? Or maybethe Gray brothersand Mitchie are all teachers at the camp this time around! Whatever the plot is, it is exciting to hear people like Stoner talk about the potential of a third film.
