First Full-Length Trailer Released forLuke Cage
The full length trailer forLuke Cagehas arrived, and this series looks amazing. Minor Mutations:
Flashback -Judge Dredd(1995)
Yes, the 90’s, and they were chock full of adaptations of comic book characters, with so many getting it wrong. Dead wrong.Sylvester Stallonewas part of this 90’s wave, with theDanny CannondirectedJudge Dreddfeaturing just a little too muchRob Schneiderfor many people’s tastes. We hadArmando Assanteplaying the villain, and some pretty cool Mega City 1 sequences, but this film falls apart in the third act; with a weak fight on top of the statue of liberty, and Stallone repeatedly taking off the helmet.Judge Dreddnever really got into showcasing the extreme violent, satiric flavor of the 2000 AD comic series, for that we had to wait for 2012’sDredd.
Spotlight: Magnus Robot Fighter
This week’s Spotlight isMagnus Robot Fighter, an action packed science fiction superhero comic series, created by writer artistRuss Manning, which took place in the year 4000, featuring the human Magnus battling a never ending line of rogue robots. In this future world, man and robots live together, and humans have become overly dependent on using the machines. Magnus was raised by an AI robot who followed the 3 laws of robotics, and trained Magnus to be able to smash steel with his bare hands. We’ve seen so many popular movies and series likeThe MatrixorI, Robotborrow from this comic book; and the panel believe that this series, especially now with our incredible computer graphics capabilities, could be pulled off as an action packed movie or an exciting streaming series.
