While his classic red-clad tights and black sweatsuit may seem like the onlyDaredevilsuits most know, he’s actually worn quite a few outfits over the years in both the comics and his television appearances. With the highly anticipated release ofDaredevil: Born Againdrawing near, there’s more potential than ever for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), the Man Without Fear, todon some new costumes in the MCU.

There are some that most likely will not hit this new continuation or come before in previous television projects, but it’s interesting tolook back on theDaredevilsuits of the past and imagine the amazing things that could be coming next for the blind but capable hero. For someone who cannot see, he knows how to look pretty awesome.

Daredevil: Born Again

10The Netflix Origin

‘Daredevil’ (2015)

InDaredevilSeason 1, Episode 13, “Daredevil”, when it’s time for the titular hero to step up against his nemesis, the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio),he finally takes up a suit akin to his classic appearance from the comic books.People were incredibly excited to see this costume make its big debut and made it well worth having waited the entire first season to get it.

The suit is very well-made and works perfectly for both the vibe of the series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. It looks amazing on screen and quickly became a fan-favorite suit for audiences and fans all over. This was the best way to kick off the trend of red suits inthe iconic Marvel TV series.

Daredevil #6 (2024)

When he was in a horrible place and doubting himself as Daredevil, Matt Murdock sought out the likes ofDoctor Strangeto find inner peace. Upon doing so, when he returns to Hell’s Kitchen to seek out the four members of the Deadly Seven Sins he needs to face, he emerges in the city with a flaming, all-white costume after finding both inner peace and purity.

It was the perfect visual representation of Matt’s evolution in his character’s journey. Not to mention being a more spiritual character than most, as he’s really based on his Catholic faith, this suit is very fitting for that aspect of the hero. While it may be something thatseems too supernatural forDaredevil: Born Again, it’s still a very cool costumeand could potentially make an appearance in a more fantastical project likeAvengers: DoomsdayorAvengers: Secret Wars, but that’s doubtful.

8Knullified/Venomized

Daredevil #19 (2019)

During the big “King in Black” crossover Marvel Comics did back in 2019,Daredevil was one of the many heroes that got Knullified/Venomized as a result.Being Knullified was a bit different from a typical symbiote takeover, as it put them under the giant hivemind of Knull, the god of symbiotes. It also gave them a different type of design than typical Venomization.

While Daredevil’s costume is supposed to emulate a devil, this transformation genuinely turns him into one, with sharp teeth and the whole works. This could maybe happen in a futureThe Avengersproject likeAvengers: Secret Wars(if he’s an Avenger), but it’s unlikely this suit makes its way to the MCU. Regardless, it’s a really cool concept and design for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

7MCU Yellow and Maroon

‘She-Hulk’ (2022)

After appearing as Matt Murdock inSpider-Man: No Way Home, fans were heavily anticipating his next appearance in the MCU, specifically as Daredevil. When he made his iconic appearance inShe-Hulkas the hero again, his new suit wowed everyone. No one ever thought the MCU would adapt a suit like his classic bright yellow and maroon from one of his first appearances, but Marvel Studios surprised everyone.

It made total sense that they’d use this suit, given the lighter tone ofShe-Hulk. The episodes he was featured in displayed the more acrobatic skills and lighter tone the character can have that was never showcased inDaredevil(for understandable reasons). So,this suit fits the tone very well. However, it most likely will only live within the likes ofShe-Hulk. Fans also hope he makes acomeback in a potentialShe-HulkSeason 2.

6’Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' Suit

‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ (2025)

The new and absolutely beloved Marvel Television series,Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, just so happens to put Spidey (Hudson Thames) up against Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in his early career as the Wall-Crawler. Due to this being an alternate MCU, he wears a different costume than people are used to seeing him in within this universe.

Donning a costume similar to the one he wore in the “Shadowland” crossover arc, Daredevil’s suit inYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manis quite similar to his classic red, but in all black. It seemed to be more like a sweatsuit type of fabric, looking closer to his sweatsuit costume, with a cowl like his classic red. There’s no doubt that he’s going to be afan-favorite character inYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

5Shadowland

Shadowland #1 (2010)

When the “Shadowland” Marvel Comics crossover came around, the character of Daredevil took a deep dive for the worst. After taking control of the crime syndicate known as The Hand,he was eventually corrupted by a demon known as The Beast, making him turn incredibly violentand turn Hell’s Kitchen into what can only be described as hell itself.

… he was eventually corrupted by a demon known as The Beast, making him turn incredibly violent…

The Shadowland suit is much like the classic red, but the logo and other highlights are now red, and the primary color is black. He also has blades on his forearms now, which makes him far more deadly. He looks far more devil-ish with this outfit, and it truly fits his more villainous desires/habits. If Daredevil ever goes down a dark path in his MCU journey, this is a suit worth considering.

4Born Again

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (2025)

Following up such an incredible series likeDaredevilwas always going to be extremely difficult, especially in the costume department. With how great the costumes for Daredevil were in the first series,Daredevil: Born Againwas going to have to create an even better suit, somehow. They managed to, thankfully.

The suit on its way to screens inDaredevil: Born Againis a massive upgrade to everything that made the suits in theDaredevilseries great. It’s got brighter colors and the overall design is incredibly appealing to the eye.Everything that made those first suits great has been specifically enhanced and made even better. It’s quite fitting for one ofthe most anticipated TV shows of 2025.

3Yellow and Red

Daredevil #1 (1964)

Daredevil’s first ever costume from his big comic book debut, he was wearing this inconic suit. Primarily utilizing the color yellow, this suit has found itself not being brought back or mentioned much until recently withShe-Hulk.Since the full-red costume hit the scene and became his main look, this one had faded to the wayside for a bit.

This was unfortunate, because a lot of people actually really adored this suit. So, when it made a comeback inShe-Hulk, they were pleased. But nothing beats the tight look from the comic books. The colors also pop far more, making him look more like a comic book character. There’s a certain charm to this look that can’t be denied.

2The Man Without Fear

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear #1 (1993)& ‘Daredevil’ (2015)

Being introduced as the very first suit of his career in the “Man Without Fear” miniseries story byFrank Miller, the black sweatsuit became a legendary costume in the lore of the character. The suit really exploded in popularity, though, when it was featured as the primary suit inevery Season 1 episode of the hit Netflix show.It would even get brought back in the third season entry.

It’s charming because it’s practical and could be made by genuinely anyone. The black mask over his eyes also has a certain awesomeness about it that hits audiences differently than the cowl with eyes. The grounded and urban feel to the suit is what makes it so cool and appealing to viewers.

1Classic Red

Daredevil #7 (1964)

When people think of Daredevil, they immediately think of this costume. It’s iconic and, somehow, manages to make a one-color suit work and look amazing. It fits the vibe of his “devil” persona very well andallows him to pop on the page and screen, while still striking fear into the hearts of his enemies.Especially when he takes to the shadows.

Fans have been begging for Marvel Studios toadapt this costume to the MCU.While it may not fit the more tactical vibe of the live-action MCU Daredevil suits, it’s known that, at the very least, people really want the double Ds on his chest to be thrown onto the next suit inDaredevil: Born Again. When Daredevil appears in a project, he’s most likely wearing this, and it’s for very good reason.
