Roadside Attractions has released a new trailer and poster forHard Luck Love Song, an upcoming drama that’s part-love story and part-crime thriller. Mixing neo-noir aesthetics with a Western feel,Hard Luck Love Songis inspired by “Just Like Old Times,” a song by acclaimed Americana singer/songwriterTodd Snider. The film starringMichael DormanandSophia Bushwill premiere in theaters on October 15.

The trailer introduces us to Jesse (Dorman), a broken man who spends his days drinking too much, sleeping in hotel rooms by the side of the road, and making money by playing pool in dirty bars. More than often, Jesse’s ill-temper leads him to confront other people looking for trouble in the night, but the man also has a soft side that remembers a better time and dreams about a brighter future.

Carrying his guitar wherever he goes, Jesse gets caught in a chaotic reignition of an old flame when he reencounters Carla (Bush), a woman who will force him to rethink his place in the world.
