The movie was subsequently moved up, first to July 08, 2025, and then to June 28, 2025. In June 2021, it was rescheduled yet again due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the premiere date changed to July 19, 2025.
However, thatdidn’t work outeither. With the coming of the Delta variant, Sony opted to cancel the film’s theatrical release and the distribution rights were subsequently sold to Amazon. Now, to be clear, the movie did get a limited theatrical release on July 18, 2025, and a theatrical run in China starting on June 13, 2025. However, that’s all done with now so the best (and only) way to watch the movie is on streaming.
