On the heels of this morning’sfirst trailerforIT Chapter Two, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have also released a new poster forAndy Muschietti’s upcoming horror film. Set 27 years after the first outing, this film features a Losers Club all grown up.James McAvoystars as Bill Denbrough,Jessica Chastaintakes on the role of Beverly Marsh,Bill Haderwill play Richie Tozer,James Ransonewill portray Eddie Kaspbrak,Jay Ryanwill tackle Ben Hanscom, andIsaiah Mustafais on board as Mike Hanlon.
It will be interesting to see how they market this movie in the months ahead since the first film was such a massive hit. Right now, it looks like they’re keeping things fairly low-key by just pushing the ominous balloons. You really don’t need to do more than that at the moment. A full shot of Pennywise is going to accomplish anything and you don’t need to lean on your big stars even though it’s nice to have actors like Chastain and McAvoy in your movie. For now, balloons will do just fine.
