The streamer will add seven of the 11 entries in its catalog, starting withThe Fast and the Furious, which premiered all the way back in 2001. The story kicks off with Brian O’Conner (the latePaul Walker) infiltrating an illegal street racing gang to get close to and investigate Dom Toretto. He ends up joining the gang and the franchisekeeps going at full speed, throwing Toretto and O’Conner into all kinds of adventures in different parts of the world.

When Statham gets introduced inFast 6, he is on a ruthless quest to avenge the death of his brother Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). His determination made him a pretty compelling character, and his presence became even more complex when it was revealed that Deckard Shaw had a relevant participation in the death of one of the franchise’s most beloved characters, Han (Sung Kang). Shortly after, his popularity earned him a spin-off withDwayne Johnson’s (Red One) character titledFast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. Netflix is also adding the spin-off to the library in August.
