Well it’s notTron 3, but directorJoseph Kosinski’s next project just gained some serious steam. The filmmakerrecently signed on to helmthe firefighter action filmNo Exit, and nowVarietyreports thatJosh BrolinandMiles Tellerhave signed on to take the lead roles. The movie is based on the true story of the tragic 2013 wildfire in Prescott, Arizona—known as the Yarnell Hill Wildfire—that almost killed an entire crew of firefighters.Black Hawk DownscreenwriterKen Nolanwrote the script, which focuses on a group of firefighters known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots who became trapped due to fast-changing winds and extreme heat. When all was said and done, 19 of the 20 men perished.

It’s unclear when the project might begin filming, but Kosinski is no doubt itching to get back behind the camera. His last film was theTom Cruisesci-fi picOblivion, soNo Exitmarks a departure for the filmmaker who made his feature debut withTron: Legacy.

Brolin is coming off of working with theCoen BrothersonHail, Caesar!And most recently wrapped filmingObserve and ReportdirectorJody Hill’s new comedyThe Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, in which he stars oppositeDanny McBride. On his docket at the moment isGeorge Clooney’s next directorial effort,Suburbicon, which boasts a script byJoelandEthan Coenand will also starMatt DamonandJulianne Moore.

Teller, meanwhile, is coming off the unsuccessful franchise playFantastic Four, but has a number of promising projects in the can, includingThe HangoverdirectorTodd Phillips’ comedic thrillerWar DogsoppositeJonah Hill. He’s also wrapped the boxing dramaBleed for This, and is currently filming the PTSD dramaThank You For Your ServiceoppositeAmy Schumer.

With a pair of promising cast members set, here’s hoping Kosinski’sNo Exitmoves forward sooner rather than later.
