Larry Davidhas indulged in a few different projects following the comedic-mythos-buildingCurb Your Enthusiasm’s seemingly final eighth season. He recently had a great run onSaturday Night LiveimpersonatingBernie Sanders, and there’s a good chance he’ll show up for at least one more sketch as the beloved Democratic candidate; he also appeared in the enjoyableClear Historyfor HBO.

Still, there’s simply nothing likeCurb Your Enthusiasm, arguably HBO’s most resoundingly praised comedy to date. The show remains the best variety of American awkward comedy, and it has a rabid fanbase, which is whyCurbco-starJ.B. Smoove’s recent comments on something calledThe Rich Eisner Showmatter so much. According to Smoove, David has been thinking about bringing the show back, and that he is eager to do more work on the HBO comedy series. You can take a look at Smoove’s entire comment below, where his excitement for doing the work with David again boarders on the frantic. It’s nothing conclusive - we’ll have to wait for David for that - but really any reason to have faith thatCurb Your Enthusiasmcould finally come back for a ninth season should be taken at this point.

Here’s what Smoove had to say, viaScreen Crush:

He starts off with his little, ‘Ehhhhh, you know, I’m thinking about coming back.’ But see, that’s great because he has not said no, which puts us in a great position for possibilities … that means it’s still going,” Smoove continued. “If Larry does not say no, there’s a possibility he may say yes. And then he went extra. He said, ‘If I do come back, would you be available?’ I said, ‘You know something Larry, I’ll be available. just call me, give me early notice, and I’ll be there.’
