The streamer has droppedthe final trailer forSquid GameSeason 3, which is coming to the platform on June 27. In typical Netflix fashion, all episodes of the show will premiere at the same time instead of in parts or one episode per week.Squid GameSeason 3 will seeLee Jung-jaereturn to his iconic role of Seong Gi-hun toface off against the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun)one last time. Gi-hun watched Front Man murder one of his best friends right in front of him at the end of Season 2, so his drive for vengeance is higher than ever.
The first season ofSquid Gamepremiered on Netflix in September 2021, and it wasted no time, becoming not only the biggest foreign language show in Netflix history, but the biggest original series the platform has ever released. The first season ofSquid Gamehauled in 265 million viewers, and the only show to even come close is the debut season ofWednesday, theJenna Ortega-led horror series fromTim Burton.Wednesdayearned 252 million views, which was enough to edge out the 192 million views earned bySquid GameSeason 2. The fourth season ofStranger Thingsfalls well behind this with 140 million views, and some other popular English shows to earn a spot on this list includeAdolescencewith 140 million views,Dahmerwith 115 million views, andBridgertonSeason 1 with 113 million views.

What Happens in ‘Squid Game’ Season 2?
Squid GameSeason 2 picks up afterSeong Gi-hun has won the games, and he now has a new goal. He’s using his winnings to hire a team to help search for any information about the games, particularly how to get back into them as a contestant, so he can stop them. He places a tracking tooth in his mouth ashe finds his way back into the games, only to wake up on the island with it removed, and his team left with no way to find him.Front Man, well aware of his goals, joins the games and teams up with Gi-hun only to turn on him at the end.
