Earthrealm, be prepared to witness Scorpion and Bi-Han’s rivalry continue on the big screen. Fans of the widely popular video gameMortal Kombatare in for a ride as the upcoming adaptation,Mortal Kombat II,will give fans another peek into the conflict betweenScorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Bi-Han aka Sub-Zero/Noob Saibot (Joe Taslim)as they battle it out.

Bi-Han’s appearance in the sequel was teased at the end of the first movie whenSub-Zero died and his body was claimed by Shang-Tsung. As fans kept speculating how and when that will happen, in a new interview withComicBook, producer Todd Garner teased, “In the decades of Mortal Kombat lore,the relationship between Scorpion and Bi-Han, the original Sub-Zero, has unfolded as a story of violence, betrayal, and vengeance.” He further explained:

“Scorpion, of the Shirai Ryu clan, is haunted by the tragic murders of his family at the hands of Bi-Han. Following his own death, Scorpion’s spirit transforms into a merciless wraith, consumed by an insatiable thirst for revenge. As Scorpion relentlessly pursues Bi-Han, their intertwined destinies make their rivalry one of the most compelling storylines in the entire Mortal Kombat franchise.”

For the uninitiated, inMortal Kombatlore, Bi-Han, the man known as Sub-Zero, always finds a way to come back from death. When Sub-Zero died, he resurrected as Noob Saibot, who can wield darkness and shadowy powers, which allows the conflict between him and Scorpion to continue.
