The hunt is on in a brand-new sneak peek for the upcoming animated film,Predator: Killer of Killers. With the project’s arrival set for this weekend, audiences get a taste of the fresh blood that’s about to pour out after the universe’s most legendary hunter takes on a handful of our world’s greatest champions over the course of centuries. From the mind ofPreyandPredator: Badlandsdirector,Dan Trachtenberg, comes the absolutely brutal piece of content that will showcase the titular destroyer in ways that we’ve not yet seen.
Today’s peek into the absolute carnage that will unfold upon the arrival ofPredator: Killer of Killerslater this week reveals just how much Trachtenberg and his team could get away with thanks to theirdip into animation. The Predator can be seen holding onto the head of a doomed Viking, while a spear flies through the air and catches the otherworldly hunter in the chest. Scores smaller than the beast who has likely taken out numerous members of her clan, a Viking warrior jumps on his back and begins to attack him with her shield. Fluorescent green blood sprays from the Predator’s wounds, but it’s not enough to keep him down.

There are a lot of firsts coming our way withPredator: Killer of Killers, but we shouldn’t expect anything different from Trachtenberg. The director broke plenty of new ground for the franchise with 2022’sPrey, which followed a young Comanche warrior (Amber Midthunder) as she saved her people from the jaws of the galactic hunter. Not only willKiller of Killersmove fromlive-action to animation, but it will also serve as an anthology project, following the stories of three different experiences throughout human history. Today’s sneak peek unraveled some of the Viking’s story, while other tales will come from a ninja in feudal Japan and finally from the cockpit of a WWII pilot.
More from the ‘Predator’ Universe
Given that onePredatormovie is already prepping for its release, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if that was it for the year. But, that’s simply not how Trachtenberg operates, and soon, we’ll be crossing back over to live-action with the fall release ofPredator: Badlands. StarringElle Fanning, the movie will see the hunter become the hunted after an outcast Predator finds himself on the run. Along the way, his path will somehow cross with Fanning’s Weyland-Yutani synth, which has already raised plenty of eyebrows given that we’ve beenlong hoping for a newAlien vs. Predatormovie.
Check out the sneak peek ofPredator: Killer of Killersabove and watch it on Hulu on June 6.
