The incredibly disappointing news broke today that Starz is not moving forward with additional seasons of its excellent seriesCounterpart. In other words, yes, it’s cancelled – although according toDeadline, the show’s production company MRC is shopping it around to streaming services. So, hopefully a network like Hulu will pick it up so it will actually be seen by viewers this time – it absolutely deserves it! Showtime has revealed the first full trailer for the upcomingDexterrevival, which reunites leadMichael C. Hallwith original series showrunnerClyde Phillipsfor a 10-episode limited series that will offer a new definitive resolution to Dexter Morgan’s story. The trailer was revealed as part of this year’s Comic-Con@Home. TheDexterrevival series will premiere on Showtime November 7. The trailer reveals that Dexter has started a new life under the alias of Jim Lindsay — and possibly a new romance with Chief of Police Angela Bishop (played byThe Mandalorian’sJulia Jones) — but those old killing urges of his might prove too strong to ignore after all....

Netflix may have the streaming rights to many of Disney’s current collection, but Hulu now has a selection of classic Mouse House titles. As part of a new licensing deal — thefirstof Hulu’s theatrical licensing deals with Disney — the streaming platform already hasMulan,Hercules,Pocahontas,The Nightmare Before Christmas, and morereadily available to watch. The deal, which wasannouncedTuesday, also includes a selection of live-action films, like theSister Act,Air Bud, andHomeward Boundmovies, as well asNewsiesand both versions ofThe Parent Trap....

Some excellent news out of Duckburg today! Disney XD’sDuckTalesreboot not only has a confirmed release date, there’s also a brand new theme song and intro to go along with the revamped series! Written byMark C. Mueller, the song is performed by singer/songwriterFelicia Bartonand produced by Emmy Award-winningMichael ‘Smidi’ Smithand composerDominic Lewis. It will be released by Walt Disney Records on Friday, June 23rd, but you can check it out in the video below!...

Warner Bros. just released the first full-length look atGodzilla: King of the Monsters,the city-stomping sequel from directorMichael Dougherty(Krampus). StarringStranger Thingsresident nose-bleederMillie Bobby Brown, the film plays largely off the events of 2014’s Godzilla—and, to an extent, the Vietnam-eraKong: Skull Island—with a world adjusting to the fact it lives next to a 350-foot sea-dwelling lizard-beast that breathes radiation and levels cities. Things go even slightly more awry with the introduction of the airplane-sized Mothra, terrifying pterodactyl Rodan, and the three-headed abomination King Ghidorah....

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceis one of the most controversial films of the last decade. Like most of directorZack Snyder’s films, the DC Comics adaptation has its share of loyal, passionate supporters. But upon its 2016 release, the film was met with mixed to negative reviews, and many viewers have continued to criticize it since. The film also did not achieve the kind of gargantuan financial success expected of a blockbuster featuring the first live-action meeting between comics’ two most famous superheroes....

Lionsgate has released a couple of newJohn Wick: Chapter 3images. The new film picks up whereChapter 2left off with John Wick (Keanu Reeves) on the run from a worldwide conglomeration of assassins. Eventually, his journey leads him to meet up with Sofia (Halle Berry), a woman who has a past with John and also has two Belgian Malinois dogs. “Whereas John’s puppy was symbolic of his wife, Halle’s two dogs are symbolic of someone she’s lost,” says director Chad Stahelski, adding that they developed an action sequence around her “canine assistants…....
