What has been an incredibly disappointing last month forThe Wheel of Timefans just got even more emotional. The show has been dealt several blows since beingcanceled by Prime Video at the end of May, and one of the series’ leading stars has officially bid farewell.Rosamund Pike, who plays Moiraine Damodred inThe Wheel of Time, took to her personal Instagram yesterday topost several stories from her time on the show, including one final one captioned“I hang up my ring,”which has since expired but can be found below. Pike saying goodbye toThe Wheel of Timecan be viewed asthe final nail in the coffin— if the show was going to come back in any capacity, it was likely going to be with her involved in some way.

Fans were caught off guard byThe Wheel of Time’s cancellation, particularly because so many cast and crew members involved with the show hadexpressed interest in returning for another season. It wasn’t long after the show was canned thatfans put together a petition to save the fantasy series, which racked up over 100,000 signatures andraised over $15,000 in around a week. However, this was met with even more negative news when it was reported thatAmazon was not shopping the seriesto other streamers, further decreasing any chance of revival. ShowrunnerRafe Judkinshas also bid the show farewellwith an emotional message, one that affirmed his belief that fans deserve to see the story finished. The series even hadone of its Emmy nominations pulledlast week for a technicality.
