Families who play together don’t always stay together. We’ve all had our horror stories about how a family game night can cause immense tension for all involved. Such was the case when the sisters ofBraxton Family Valuesappeared onCelebrity Family Feud. When the celebrity edition of the beloved game show debuted on ABC in 2015, it started off with a bang. The very first game featured, as the title said,Anthony AndersonvsToni Braxton. Yes, even though the entire family was featured, it was the R&B icon given prime billing.

Toni Braxton was joined byTamar,Trina,Towanda, andTraci. The sisters ultimately beat Anthony Anderson and his family, earning $25,000 for Lupus LA, a charity near and dear to Toni.Despite the victory in the premiere episode, it wasn’t the best experience for the sisters. So much so, the saga didn’t quite end on set. The beef exploded over toSteve Harvey’s talk show.

The Braxtons Won ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ But Not Without Strife

When the sisters appeared onCelebrity Family Feud, fun was had and laughs were full, but they almost blewtheir chance at playing for Fast Money. As it just so happened, the sisters who are always at odds with one another, Tamar and Towanda, lifted the team to the top. With their strong skills and answers, they propelled the Braxtons into the bonus round, where they were victorious.

It’s no secret: the Braxton sisters cannot get along. Whether you watched them during their original run onBraxton Family Valuesor during the revival series,The Braxtons, the sisters are prone to fighting. Sometimes it’s over serious issues. Other times it’s beyond petty. But that’s siblings, right?Despite Tamar previously sharing a clip from the episode, heralding it as “one of her favorite times with her sisters,” you can tell that their true colors were shining through. The women of the Braxton family are competitive!

If resentment was a person, it would be Tamar Braxton.

Steve Harvey Witnessed the Braxtons in Action

While appearing onSteve Harvey, the host got to witness the women in their full form firsthand. Whether he intended to play family mediator or not,the titular host sat and watched the spectacle of their family dynamics.Whether it was Tamar pissed about how her sisters celebrated her birthday, the jealousy over Trina’s engagement roll out, or Traci getting to celebrate her solo album, the Braxtons put it all out there.

At leastMs. Eadmitted that the best thing to do with her daughters is to ignore them. Some mothers may think that’s a terrible concept, but they’re also not the mother of the Braxtons! When Harvey asked what the number 1 Braxton family value was, Towanda was quick to say, “love and forgiveness.” In principle, brilliant. In execution, it couldn’t be further from put into practice. She claimed she would jump through hoops for everyone of her sisters. Again, perhaps in principle. Tamar said it is keeping it real. And by keeping it real, the Braxtons love to battle, whether on a game show or on the couch with Steve Harvey.

Since the time of the original game show airing and their appearance on the talk show, the Braxton family dynamic has changed. Those jovial moments seen on Celebrity Family Feud seem to be few and far between. Since Traci’s passing, the family continues to splinter. Butat least another season ofThe Braxtonsis setto reveal more. While they all can hope that those happy times can return, the beef will still be beefing.
