This might be for the best, as they’ve already been facing public scrutiny about their relationship. In September 2024,Amy was arrestedat a Tennessee safari park after being treated for a camel bite, leading to charges of drug possession and child endangerment when police found marijuana and other substances in her car with her two young children present. She later accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to two counts of simple drug possession in exchange for the child endangerment charges being dropped. Amy received a suspended sentence, fines, and was ordered to complete a drug assessment and parenting classes. Brian, who was with her at the time, faced similar charges and also took a plea deal.

Amy filed an emergency protective order against Michael for her and their sons, claiming Michael was violent. After dropping the charges, he filed a separate civil restraining order himself. Amy and Michael finalized their divorce, with Amy obtaining primary custody of their sons. Michael has supervised visitation rights on weekends.
