If you’ve been following theflurry ofX-Menupdateshere on Collider over the last few days, you may have caught our update onWolverine 3, which just started production last week. ProducerSimon Kinbergteased thatHugh Jackman’s final go-around as the characterwill in fact be Rated Rand will be a “very radical, bold, different Wolverine” than we’ve seen before, but now we have yet another piece of promising info on the film.
Collider’s own Steven Weintraub spoke with producerHutch Parkeron the red carpet for theX-Men: Apocalypsepremiere, and he confirmed thatPatrick Stewartis indeed inWolverine 3. Granted, Stewart’s involvement has been pretty set since last fall, but it’s still nice to know that Professor X indeed has a role in the film. As Jackman previously teased, the idea is to explorethe father/son dynamic of the Wolverine/Professor X relationship, and withThe WolverinehelmerJames Mangolddirecting, we’re hopefully in for something special.
